The Palestinian cross stitch embroidery patterns and designs found their way amongst the sands to blend and assert themselves in their cherished and beloved land. They transform their bright colours to the colors of the dunes and the Sahara to blend and assert themselves telling the village women’s stories of their daily lives and history  in their cherished and beloved land discretely showing in the sands. This scene depicts the Awawir, the old man’s teeth, the saw and Urf El Deek motifs.
